Fanart: The Hope of Asia (for Taiko Sorairo)
A simple piece of artwork I cooked up for the campaign to ask Namco for the export of Taiko no Tatsujin Sorairo Version to Asia. The major countries involved in the campaign are all united in their cause, and we are still hopeful! Namco, please consider our sincere request; we're Taiko fans too!
I apologize if I didn't include your country flag; I intended for the main ones to be represented but of course we all wish that Taiko will have a reach to fans all around the world!
As for the petition, we've surpassed 400 signatures and closing in on our 3rd milestone of 500! Please sign it if you haven't!

Fanart: April Fools 2013
April Fools has come and gone and now that the dust has settled, let's feature one more Taiko-related piece of art created for the occasion. This was done by a pixiv artist called HalHAL to trick people into thinking X-Day 2000 was being ported from Taiko to Konami rhythm game Sound Voltex Booth. The original prank was very convincingly made too (with the 'illustration by' part giving it away).
So much for 76573...again. Well anyway, click on the picture to view it in fullsize and be sure to visit the artist's page to bookmark it or something if you have a pixiv account!

Fanart: Taiko x Pokemon
Taiko has had trace elements of Pokemon in it for some time now, with most of the anime openings from Diamond/Pearl onwards being on the tracklist, and more recently the bombshell that was the Pokemon Black 2/White 2 medley on Taiko 0.5. So why not take it a step further? There's tons of things in Pokemon that can be integrated into Taiko, including costumes!
I just had to whip up a few!
This first set was directly inspired by the medley of Pokemon game music being in Taiko, and includes various things from the game itself; Pikachu is obligatory, and the three starter Pokemon plus Sewaddle, a Pokeball because of how easy it is to make, a Pokemon Center, and two of the game's important characters, Cheren and Bianca.
For the second set I made the scope larger and did costumes for Don-chan based on all the Pokemon Trainer clothes from the first game onwards. Yes, even the trainers from Pokemon X/Y are not left out!
Pokemon costumes are really fun to make...I could do more in the future too.

Fanart: Don-chan's costumes
From a distance they may seem like Don-chan's regular clothing, but take a closer look! They're all costumes of characters from a particular series of Nintendo games. Can you pick them out?
You can check out the fullview version on pixiv here.

Taiko medley on piano
It's amazing, the things you can do when you're really inclined to music (unlike the majority of us who are tone-deaf and only know how to play Taiko :P). A piano medley of five different Namco Original songs. It's not hard to pick out if you know all five- stop listening so closely. The first 20 seconds are for testing the keys, then the following five are played out in sequence: Rumble Ranbu, Zeihen ~transformation~, Senpuu no Mai, Tenyou no Mai, Black Rose Apostle.
He seems to give particular emphasis to Rumble Ranbu and BRA though- they're significantly longer than the other three. Most epic thing I've heard on piano in recent months.

Kikyoku ~Seasons of Asia~ in Karateka Mania
Karateka Mania (カラテ家マニア) is one of the rhythmical challenges available on Rhythm Tengoku, a Nintendo rhythm game. The player, controlling karateka, must hit a sequence of flying objects with punchs, kicks and a good musical sense. The minigame became a PC freeware application in 2009, in order to let people create their musical patterns even for other songs! This one is the well known Kikyoku ~Seasons of Asia~.

Taiko songs on Mario Paint
One of the most loved features of the Super Nintendo game Mario Paint is its comprehensive and user-friendly music editor, in which players can create and arrange songs with a wide arsenal of 8-bit sounds. A Taiko lover of Mario Paint, jylee18 from Malaysia, has used its Flash version for computers and from there, created many Mario Paint versions of popular Namco Originals. Enjoy!

Taiko custom characters
Another piece of ammiration from japanese donders! Fetched from another blog, this image rounds up the personification of a wide selection of Namco Original songs. Have fun guessing which songs are involved for this "funny reunion"!

Taiko no Tatsujin 14 Fanart
Surfing through the web, crystalsuicune has found the proof that Taiko fans aren't used to venerate their games in silence. This image offers an alternate way to see the latest arcade's introduction under fans's eyes.
