Another rapid-fire round of updates to the upcoming mainland-China port of the 4th-generation Taiko no Tatsujin arcade cabinet happened this week:
- An online press conference event will be held through the official Bilibili channel and WeChat official account at 2023/07/27 19:00 (UTC+8) (source). You can check out a short trailer of the program uploaded just today. There are also official streaming partners on Douyin (not TikTok) and Kwaishou if you need more alternatives on how to watch.
- Wahlap Tech will showcase the game at the ChinaJoy expo in Shanghai between 2023/07/28-31 (source). Visitors can try out the ported cabinets with a prototype player ID (data will be wiped before the official launch) and snatch Taiko swag.
- A preliminary song list of the mainland China port has been released as a new service on the WeChat official account (source). Select "Info" (资讯) then "Song List" (歌曲清单) from the account's toolbar, or use the link we copied from the application: https://tak-wls-prod.wahlap.net/file/dist/#/songs
Currently, we have 愛你 and 兩隻老虎 being exclusive to the mainland China song list but not in the Japanese and international ones. This list also lets you sort by difficulty within one genre, so you can easily pick out all the Ura Oni ★10sto torture your hands.
