Random: Another Taiko no Tatsujin-like Flash game

A sort-of attempt to spoof a completely different rhythm game, Guitar Hero, as a free Flash game. But really, the only thing this has in common with Guitar Hero are a few sound effects and the name 'hero' in it. This is actually a Taiko no Tatsujin clone.

Underneath the cheap-looking facade though is a pretty solid offering for what it's trying to accomplish. As the title and graphical theme suggests, Jingle Hero Christmas' eight songs (five of which need unlocking) are all Christmas songs, and sticks quite closely to the Taiko no Tatsujin interface we're familiar with.

To be honest, the graphics actually don't look half bad. It's a pretty well-made game, colorful and charming. The few gripes I have with it are the controls; having D and K as the center and S/L as the side feels a bit awkward, the hit window and syncing of notes to the background music feels a bit off, and big notes force you to hit two keys at once, which looks confusing at first. This has been around since 2011. Have you played it before?

Ripoff, or tribute? You decide!
