Taiko Team's Fourth UStream: Sorairo First Play and other stuff!

Time to cover the Ustream that went on yesterday! The focus of the stream is obviously Taiko Sorairo Version, which comes out in four days, and a 'groundbreaking announcement' from the Taiko Team. Want to know what it is? Read on!

The stream begins with the revealing of Sorairo's default songlist, shown genre by genre on pieces of paper. Below are the J-Pop songs, most of which we already know about. Songs in bold are new ones that was not revealed in any previous blog posts, promotional material or JAEPO 2013.

  • UZA
  • Aitakatta (会いたかった)
  • 24 karats TRIBE OF GOLD
  • Saraba, Itoshiki Kanashimi Tachi Yo (サラバ、愛しき悲しみたちよ)
  • Fashion Monster (ファッションモンスター)
  • Yoru no Odoriko (夜の踊り子) (by Sakanaction)
  • Chocolate Disco (チョコレイト・ディスコ)
For the Anime genre, two new songs.

  • Kimi o Nosete (君をのせて)
  • Yajirushi ni Natte! (やじるしになって!)
  • LET'S GO OUT (from Gintama, not to be confused with another song by a certain rhythm game-making company)
  • V.I.P
  • ETERNAL BLAZE
  • INSIDE IDENTITY (from Chunibyo Demo Koi ga Shitai!)
  • Jojo~Sono Chi no Sadame~ (ジョジョ~その血の運命~)
The Vocaloid genre will receive five songs on the default songlist on day one, but there's a lot more to it for the future. We'll talk about this later on.

  • Senbonzakura (千本桜)
  • Jinsei Reset Button (人生リセットボタン)
  • Children Record (チルドレンレコード)
  • IMITATION BLACK
  • Hikyou Sentai Urotander (卑怯戦隊うろたんだー) (by ShinP)
Not much left in the Variety genre after the Vocaloid songs packed up and left, but the two default songs announced before will still be here!

  • Atarimae Taisou (あたりまえ体操)
  • Kokoro Korogase! (ココロ転がせ!)
More good stuff announced for Game Music, including new songs and ported songs from Taiko 3DS.

  • Great! Animal Kaiser!!
  • Kyun! Vampire Girl (きゅんっ!ヴァンパイアガール)
  • Highschool love! (from Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition, again not to be confused with this song by the same games-making company)
  • Wasabi Body Blow
Two new songs announced for Namco Original aside from Zero no Nocturne. If you squint and look carefully, there's a tiny message on the bottom hinting at Ura difficulties too. What's it for?

  • Zero no Nocturne (零の夜想曲)
  • Phoenix
  • Lisdoonvarna no Tasogare (リスドンヴァルナの黄昏)
That third song is a mouthful eh? It's actually a sequel song to Don Engasu no Fuefuki, and Lisdoonvarna is a little town in Ireland.

Next up, new costumes for Sorairo! We don't klnow how these will be given out to players yet, but here's pictures of them.
  • Jingly Rope (チリチリロープ)
  • Designer's Choice (デザイナーオヌヌメ)
  • Tetsuo Ride (テツオライド)
  • Hatsune Miku (初音ミク)
  • Kindergarten (小学生)
...and many more to come!

And now for some plays with the new songs! Get excited, we're about to see the new Namco Original, Zero no Nocturne, in action! The difficulty is as shown below, 4/6/6/8.

Here's the Jojo song, with difficulty 3/5/5/7.

The new Vocaloid song by IA, Children Record, is a speedy 9* Oni (3/6/6/9)

Earlier in the post I talked about even more Vocaloid content to be included in Taiko. Well, here it is!

Turning Vocaloid into its own little corner for Taiko, starting with the IA costume, like the Gumi costume for Katsu-Don. This costume is only available at a special Vocaloid area at the big NicoNico Douga Conference.

Secondly, a giant ton of new Vocaloid songs planned for Taiko:
  • Songs from IA's second compilation album, IA/02 COLOR
  • A song from Vocaloid producer 'Jin'
  • ...and a collaboration with 'Ishifuro', another Vocaloid producer
These songs are for exclusive preview at the conference.

The four CreoFUGA Gumi songs which won last year's contest will also be playable at the conference, ahead of the general public (nothing is known about when they will be released).

In addition, a hashtag for Taiko no Tatsujin happenings at the conference will be set up, and everyone is welcome to join in!

    Now....it's time.

Time for the groundbreaking announcement! Rolling in 3...2....1....

    It's a.....Tatsu-Don movie?!
Oh, it's the announcement trailer for this year's Taiko Tournament, to be held this summer! And there's yet another song-making contest for it too!

Submit your own song creation to the contest page at CreoFUGA from March 13th to April 14th 2013. Five winners will be picked and all of them will be used as songs in the Taiko Tournament of the summer! What a way to gain recognition!

And it's the end of the stream...wait a minute, someone forgot to shut off the minicam at the bottom right corner....that's Zero no Nocturne isn't it? A Ura?! (9* Oni)

Like for the past UStream sessions, it's possible to watch today's UStream again on Namco Bandai's UStream channel (or by following this link)
