Taiko Time 2nd Anniversary Quiz Results and Answers!

Alright as promised, here are the answers to the 2nd anniversary quiz. As for the results, since it was a very tough quiz to finish completely, I'll just gauge your performance based on what you did answer. Now to see them!

1) Name seven songs on Taiko 0 which don't fit into any particular song groups to earn a title, counting those before the July 2012 update (for example, the titles for "play only 2000 songs" or "play only songs with Katakana fonts" etc.). At least three songs must not be Namco Original songs.
Here are some examples.. All of you got the seven songs correct.
  • J-POP:笑顔にカンパイ!、イケナイ太陽、前略、道の上より
  • Anime:踊れ・どれ・ドラ ドラえもん音頭、毎日かあさん
  • Children/Folk:おおブレネリ、ロシア民謡メドレー
  • Variety:やわらか戦車(表)
  • Classic:天国と地獄 序曲
  • Namco Original: サタデー太鼓フィーバー(表)、LOVE戦!!、太鼓ラブ!、オールナイトdeインデナイ、ザストゥールの魔導書、らんぶる乱舞(表)
The ones you guys came up with are Kikyoku ~Seasons of Asia~, O Vreneli, LOVE Ikusa, Russian Folk Medley, Tsukikage SASURAI, William tell Overture, Don Engasu no Fue Fuki, Carmen Prelude, Chiheisen no Aeolia, Zastohl no Madousho, Heaven and Hell, Yuujou Pop, Saturday Taiko Fever, Ruslan and Lyudmila Overture, Zenryaku, Michi no Ueyori, Densetsu no Matsuri, Yawaraka Sensha, Taiko Love.

Since the question asks for 'song preference' titles obtained in the old Taiko 0, most of the Namco Original series songs like Tsukikage SASURAI were still excluded, and that was the reason we decided to limit responses from that genre.

2) Taiko no Tatsujin DS: Dororon! Youkai Daikessen wasn't the first console game to congratulate the most skilled players for FCing every song on every difficulty in the game (link). Prior to this, there was another console Taiko that did the same thing. Which game is it and what did you have to do to see the message?
Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Dodon to Nidaime (Wii 2). Mekadon will send a similar congratulatory message when you have played Namco Originals 765 times.

3) Some J-Pop songs in Taiko name the source of the song instead of the artist, eg. a song in the list is the opening theme for a Japanese drama series or used in a TV advertisement. One popular J-Pop song has no source, but suddenly gained one after 2011. Which song is this?
Polyrhythm, by Perfume. Prior to Taiko 14, it has no source, but later credits the song as being from 'Cars 2', the Pixar movie. Even in the original English version you can hear a small clip of Polyrhythm when the group of cars go to Japan.

4) Which four Namco Originals are available for Joysound Karaoke, and which is the fifth one currently being requested?
Hibike! Taiko no Tatsujuin, Koibumi 2000, Konya wa Homi and Wonder Momoi. Fans are requesting for Nijiiro Yumeiro Taikoiro to be included in the songlist of the very popular karaoke service.

5) Which song has four balloon notes in a row with each one requiring one additional hit than the previous one?

CAPTAIN NEO, the Darius medley from the Taito series, playable on Taiko PS2 6 and Taiko 8 arcade. The intermission with the boss warning sound effects have no notes, only balloon notes that scroll progressively faster and require 12, 13, 14, and 15 hits to break over the same period of time for each.

6) ...Oh, hello again! Thanks for the help you gave me for recognizing that song last year. But right now I have another unknown pattern to decode, but my PC is quite rusty... Here is what I can remember for it:

-) Nearly 34% of notes here were Kat notes,
-) Its maximum score is 763K points (with all 良) in one of its game appearances,
-) There are 5 drumrolls here. And I swear one of those was bigger than the others...

Have you got any ideas about this one?
Babel no Tou (バベルの塔), an obscure Namco Original turned Game Music song on Taiko PS2 4, and is also playable on PSP1 and 2. It's a very tough question with lots of statistics and numbers, you can check out the Wikihouse page for the song if you have any doubts.

7) There is another series of games with 'no Tatsujin' in its name, also made by Namco, and has gameplay that has nothing to do with Taiko. What is this series?
Ennichi no Tatsujin. Originally released for Wii and later a sequel made for 3DS (called Minna no Ennichi), it is Namco's other way of trying to cash-in on the casual gamer/motion control trend, by making a minigame collection based on activities and games of the ennichi (縁日), Japanese festivals. Suffice to say, it did poorly both in reviews and in sales.

Alternate answer: Unou no Tatsujin, a cute take on Brain Age to train kids' "right brain" which is usually seen as responsible for creativity. Like Ennichi, it has sequels too, all released on DS.
