Using Game Modifiers in Taiko Arcades

Works on Taiko arcade 7/8/9 and above, depending on the feature added at the time.

You must use the Oni difficulty unlock command before doing this! After unlocking Oni, go back to Kantan and hit the left rim 5 times. The background will turn dark blue, and Don will say 'Baizoku!' (double speed). Hit it every 5 times to switch to whichever modifier you wish to use, in the order shown above. For more information on the modifiers themselves, click here.

Normal --> x2 --> x3 --> x4 --> Invis --> Reverse --> Normal

The pink numbers on the right is the version of the arcade which the modifier was first used.

Note: From Taiko 11 onwards, the method to reaching game modifiers has been slightly changed because Taiko sounds were introduced. It's the same process, but instead of going back to Kantan, stay on Oni and hit the right rim 5 times.

Autoplay and Sudden Death (Kanpeki) are console-exclusive.

Taiko no Tatsujin 13 arcade code...4?

Conditions: After Taiko no Tatsujin 13 code 3 has been used

Stop on the Title screen. Hit the left and right rims of one drum alternately, as you would for entering Ura Oni mode. Do this 500 times and the number '13' on the screen disappears (indicating correct code input)

Code? What code? There's actually no special code that needs to be inputted into Taiko 12, all you have to do is wait 35 days after the arcade's been out and there's your secret songs! Easy! (of course, every machine's got these already since Taiko 12's been out for years)

The title screen will display this when the songs have been unlocked.

Taiko no Tatsujin 11 arcade code 1

Conditions: none
Number of songs unlocked: 3

• shiny smile
• Kamikaze Remix
• Wasure Na Gusa (わすれなぐさ)

Start the game. Go to the tutorial screen.

At the tutorial, hit the center of both left and right drums repeatedly. At least 100 hits must be registered on both drums, with the total number of hits 500. The screen will flash white when the 500th hit is registered. The songs will be unlocked and on the next play, the title screen should look like this.
