The track we have on display today is one of five songs to be featured as Taiko Plus exclusives via 2010's Brass Band pack, starring five music arrangements from the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra (東京佼成ウインドオーケストラ) and their earliest releases in the BraBand! Koshien album line. As we've delved a bit further into said band's history with another of their arrangements in the past, today we're going to focus on the whereabouts of the 'Band'-ified track instead.

Originally published on July 14th, 2010's BraBand! Koshien 4 (ブラバン!甲子園4) as Seibu Keisatsu PART II BGM, this is an arrangement of the song Wonderful Boys (ワンダフル・ガイズ) from Tatsuya Takahashi and the Tokyo Union, another of Japan's most-known big bands. As credited by the arrange album's BGM appendix, the original song was a background music for the second part of the titular Seibu Keistasu series (lit. 'Western Police'), a TV Asahi police drama series running for 5 years straight from 1979 to 1984. In it, stories of the vehicular crimes of Tokyo's Josei district are told alongside the endeavors of the law-abiding force on its tail with a number of top-notch vehicles to give them chase: the Seibu Police Station's Investigation Division lead by Chief Detective Daimon Keisuke, whose agents' driving prowess lead the criminal Underworld dub as the Daimon gang.

Thanks to a unique multi-party sponsorship approach benefitting Ishihara Promotions's police drama production (including the same TV Asahi and the Tokyu Agency's coordination across sponsors), Seibu Keisatsu's popularity as a macho investigation show got translated into access to a mighty production endorsement across the years for more and more exciting stunts, involving the damaging/destruction of 4680 vehicles, 320 buildings and 4.8 tons of explosives, roughly capping at about 3 billion Yen's worth of resources which also counts the 2-hours Seibu Keisatsu SPECIAL that was aired in 2004. Despite six injuries chronicled altogether, it's amazing how no fatal accidents have ever happened with such a dangerous resources pool!

On par with 2nd-generation charting, tailor-fit BPM scrolling settings were made for nearly every beat stanza, all the while your average player on a surface level can only take a gander at several small cluster passages and the generous hitballoon presence all throughout the play. Back in the day, downloading its song pack would also lead to the acquiral of a set of custom dancers that are inspired by the cheer-band-styled performers depicted for the BraBand! Koshien albums' jacket art (for reference, here's the one for the 2nd album of the series), but later redownloads of the song nearing Plus/Plus STH's end-of-service window would eventually allow the redownload of the songs, but without the original custom dancers set.
