In Taiko gaming, we're used to see many a facet going 'full circle' acros the years, mostly in a positive light but also for pertinent, franchjise-perma-deleting reasons just like one of two songs to be disappearing from the only supporting Taiko title's tracklist, this coming December. Three years ago, it was the turn of another [Alexandrios] tune to disappear for good (one we've already talked about, too!) and now even the other playable composition from the same unit is joining the ranks...

Watari-dori (lit. 'Wadingbird') was quite the pivotal turning point for the band behind its creation, not only for the aftermath success it bolstered for the succeeding years but also for the fact of it being introduced in the act's major debut single (10th overall) under a non-indie music label (Universal Music), before the ongoing publishing works under the ongoing UNIVERSAL J and RX-RECORDS labels. Being the second release to launch [Alexandros] in the Oricon Top5 charting, Watari-dori was the most successful of the partly-eponymous Watari-dori/Dracula la single in the scope of media licensing, as it became the theme song for the stage-play-turned-movie Akegarasu (明烏) and a number of CMs of the time, including Asahi beer and the Subaru XV.

With Watari-dori leaving, each of the J-Pop/Pops incroduced during the Red Version operational period won't be available to be played on the ongoing arcade scene for good, with the last one leaving it (and the franchise altogether) is one of the Gen-3 original-sourced songs, joined by Oni charting to better resemble KAGEKIYO and Many wow bang! (Ura)'s 1/16 cluster-clashing breakdown in many a formation before your eyes. This is also one of Red Version's debutants to come with KFM chart variations for 2-player sessions, so mind those few notes alternating colors between the two players!
