Namco Taiko Blog (August 18th, 2022) - Road to Nijiiro Y2's Ranking Dojo Big Leagues

The weekly Taiko Team blog entry, this time around, is an updated rethread on the new content that the Ranking Dojo is about to get in the coming months, building up from what has been revealed during last month's livestream with Etou and 'No.11' Kimizu.

First and foremost, the final stretch of the 2nd-year Ranking Dojo main courses is scheduled to drop by sometime in September 2002's second half, featuring a quartet of Namco Originals which were never heard of before... well, one of these at least is. The most memory-adept of donders around here may recall how for this year it was made the decision to drop three of the Ranking Dojo songs in advance, as Weekend Warrior firsts!

Dropping by one at the time on the dates of August 27th-September 3rd/10th, you can expect the following track to stop by beforehand, in anticipation to the unique Ura Oni chart that all three tracks will get for their Ranking Dojo appearance. Once again, the song's Saturday debuting order is not revealed and may-or-may-not be linked to the progressively-rising order of difficulty they're respectively appearing in RD difficulty hierarchy.

To tide the wait for the dojo times to come once more, the Gaiden courses rosters will be updated once again in two days (August 20th), featuring a primer of Green Version's Ranking Dojo main courses as revised Gaiden trials to face.

While the Meijin/Choujin/Tatsujin courses will be integrally ported, three extra courses with an easier clearing criteria will be made as training grounds to tackle the original latter-end trials from the arcade 3rd-gen's final hurrah, as the 'Road To (Meijin/Choujin/Tatsujin)' courses. As usual, QR codes for each will be published on the Taiko arcade website's dedicated Ranking Dojo Gaiden section.
