Stop the presses! Taiko Team has posted an official Namco Taiko Blog post and the title has "JAEPO 2019" in it. Time for actual Taiko no Tatsujin Green ver. preview news!
As previously announced in more-general BNEI terms, the expo floors of JAEPO 2019 (public days January 26-27) will be graced with the worldwide exclusive preview of the new Green ver. cabinets (well probably only the pop-up materials and firmware changed, but you get it). They are surprisingly adamant in using the literal wording of "worldwide" here, so...
Like always, you will be able to try out some (but not all) of the new songs coming out on the new version, and some (but not all) of the Blue ver. inclusion if you just want to take advantage of the free trial.

The brand new Namco Original also comes with a preview video featuring the new Green ver. inspired background. The video also shows the small-text message that it is unlockable instead of in the default song list, the method not specified for now.
Also on the JAEPO 2019 floors is the epic conclusion of the fifth Tenkaichi Otogesai on January 26. We don't have much news on that front other than the list of winners in the Block Qualifiers, and we'll come back to that later at another time.
