Behind the Drums: Marimo Institute

The notecharter known as Marimo Institute (まりも研究所) started making charts during the Murasaki Version days, while also being in charge of the song release schedule for the arcade front since then. Once known simply by the name of Fumenja X (譜面ジャーX), her nick was changed during the White Version days in favor of the namesake marine moss balls species (also shown in the picture above!).

Her main motto for charting is "easy to read, hard to be hit", as Marimo Institute herself loves contradictory concepts to play along for bigger means. As a big fan of STG (abbreviation of 'Shooting', or sometimes 'Swear To God') games where one misstep can easily lead to defeat, she's been mostly involved into the creation of notecharts for Touhou Project song arrangements, be it by herself or with the support of other sentai charters.
