Namco Taiko Blog (01 September 2011)- Taiko PSPDX downloadable songs of September!

Hi guys, Zekira G. Drake here.

Not really sure what to put lol.

But yeah, the Taiko Blog just updated today and is mainly concerned with the PSPDX downloadable songs for September! Each song is as usual worth 150 yen. No free songs this month, and where's Hyakka Ryouran? Anyway...

【J-POP】
・Sakuranbo (さくらんぼ)
・Karon- au LISMO! TV ad  (カロン au「LISMO!」CMソング)

Oh, a new J-Pop song...finally!

【アニメ】
・Cruel Angel's Thesis (残酷な天使のテーゼ 「新世紀エヴァンゲリオン」より)

No, no Ura Oni together with this, which is a slight letdown. Maybe in the coming months?

【ナムコオリジナル】
・Zastohl no Madousho (ザストゥールの魔導書)
(sp?)

Yep, new Namco Original....you're going to have to pay for that as well!

The lower part of the blog post is an introduction to the aforementioned new Namco Original by YMY, who have also made Don Engasu no Fuefuki and Desert de Yakiniku (Sahara-hen). Zastohl no Madousho will have the same Arabian style as the latter song, but instead of being 'Arabian rock', it is now 'Arabian techno'.

And then some fantasy thinking by the composer about the identity of Zastohl and how his book of magic (that's Madousho in English) came to be one of the hidden jewels of the desert...or something.

And a little bit further down is hiyama introducing Tsukikage SASURAI, which went on download a few weeks ago. Did any of you get it? hiyama says he really likes to mess with the rhythm and create something unique, which explains the mess Tsukikage creates on the metronome during the song. The band making the song is a quartet of violin, piano, drums and cymbals, though hiyama likes to think of the player as being the 5th member of the band, contributing Taiko sounds to the music. The genre is a made up one called 'Latin Progressive Jazz Rock' (ラテンプログレジャズロック).

Anyway, these four songs will be up on PSN by September 7, 2011. Look forward to them!
