[NS1] Donkatsu at Home Tourney First Preliminary Song Choices Announced

Image

As promised, the at-home tournament on Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version/Drum 'n' Fun has begun today (June 22 2020), with more of its details revealed in the official web page. (The original top-level site now becomes a portal for Taiko no Tatsujin eSports in general with two "Coming Soon" blocks, which may or may not signify future events...?)

Before all, here is one important point from the terms and conditions that our western audience would need to know: this tournament requires all participants to be living in Japan. The terms do specify that Japanese residents of foreign nationality are accepted, as long as they would be comfortable conversing with the committee and staff in Japanese.

With that out of the way, here are the song choices for each of the six departments:

Again, to enter the tournament, you will have to play one of the above songs (1-player, using Don-chan and Shin-uchi scoring, with the official drum controller), take a photo of the results screen and post onto Twitter. You will need to include two hashtags with your photo: #おうちでドンカツ plus the department-name hashtag as listed above. Make sure that your photo is clearly showing the score, song name, difficulty, character used, player name, Shin-uchi mark and the tallies for Good and OK notes, but you yourself don't have to appear in camera for this round.

For the purposes of this tournament, you will have to own a public Twitter account that is following the official tournament handle of @taikoesports. You would also need to enable direct messages (at least for their handle) since winning participants will be notified and expected to reply through DM. You cannot enter multiple departments on one Twitter account, or all your entries will be disqualified. If you achieve a better score in the same department after making your initial entry, you are allowed to repost.
