Once again, our Song of the Week... is quite literally, the song addition for this closing week! Strap in and see for yourself what the latest Namco Original has in store for us...

Appearing as the 700th playable song in Blue Version arcades (at least, until new song additions/removals will occur), here's a Namco Original that feels like belonging to more than a song series in particular for Taiko lore...

Is it related to the YMY travel songs? The ancient-history tales? Possibly a candidate for a 'fairytale' song series with former NO releases such as Gunslinger Cinderella and Marionette Pure? Whatever the case, we are sure -at the very least- of one thing: Shining☆Abracadabra is the latest Taiko no Tatsujin song that was brought us by one recurring composer/singer duo, consisting of the nick-named Drop and Yura Hatsuki (葉月ゆら).

Bearing the same base BPM value of Shining 65, the latest addition to the Taiko series' collective original production sports a note-dense Oni chart that draws one too many parallels with the aforementioned Marionette Pure's Oni; both songs' Oni trials are heavy on note density and both sport hybrid 1/12-1/16 clusters to drive away early Full Combo attempts in slightly different ways, with this song's focus being more on a constant 1/16 hybridation threat rather than the former song's longer (albeit more concentrated) cluster focus towards the end.
