Namco Taiko Blog (11 July 2013)- Taiko no Tatsujin Tournament 2013

Or, as the official name says: "Taiko no Tatsujin Japan No. 1 Donder! Decisive Battle 2013" A mouthful, so we'll just stick to calling it the Taiko Tournament 2013 then.

Before we begin the blog post proper, a side note: Version 4.03 is out now for Sorairo! Stay tuned for chart videos and updates!

If you caught last Friday's UStream or read our coverage on the stream, this is basically regurgitating everything regarding the tournament details in text.

The three stages of the competition are the individual arcade qualifiers, followed by the Area elimination, then the finals in Namco's HQ, which will be on the 26th of October, 2013.

The songs used are all from the recent CreoFUGA contest and they are as follows:

Qualifier (August 10 to September 16)
1. Ai Omoi Warai (愛想笑い) by Chiharu ver.9.1.7
2. Eternal bond by Ryuwitty
3. Bakemono Tsukiyomi (化物月夜) by Kunikichi

Area (September 16 to October)
1. Oozora to Taiko no Odori (大空と太鼓の踊り) by parau
2. Tsundere Cafe e Youkoso☆ (ツンデレCafeへようこそ☆) by Nekojyaga*
3. D's Adventure Note by Yomii
4. DEBSTEP! by Yajuu
5. Yozakura Braiders (夜櫻ブレヰダアズ) by Ponkichi

Finals (October 26)
1. Karamari no Hana (カラ鞠の花) by Harunaba
2. Calculator by M-O-T-U
3. Hurtling Boys by Sadakichi Ishikadasu

Yep, Ryuwitty's Eternal Bond (incidentally it was sung by GUMI), the one featured in the chart-making session, will be used right at the beginning! Have fun with that song, and a reminder that Shin-uchi mode will be in effect throughout the competition.
