Taiko no Tatsujin Soundtrack 2008

Released on May 2008 (which explains the album title), Taiko no Tatsujin Santora 2008 (太鼓の達人 サントラ2008) is a two-disc album containing the best and most popular songs in the series. 'Santora' is a shortened spelling of 'soundtrack', that's all. Try mouthing it out and you'll get it. Japanese love shortening names.

Soundtrack 2008 focuses mainly on the Namco Originals and other Namco composed songs on Taiko no Tatsujin 10, 11, and the first two DS Taikos, Touch de Dokodon! (太鼓の達人DS タッチでドコドン!)) and Nanatsu no Shima no Daibouken (めっちゃ!太鼓の達人DS 7つの島の大冒険). It's one of the most complete Taiko album ever made, containing all 2000 and Garyoutensei songs ever composed (at the time), plus all the Mika songs, both DS opening songs, and tons of other fan favorites from the four games and from the entire Taiko song library in general.

The first disc has Don's face printed on it, but the 2nd disc is more special. Notice some familiar beats? It's Kita Saitama 2000's middle note stream and Go-Go Time, broken up into pieces!
Contains 2 discs, each with 35 songs, for a total of 70.

  1. Out of curiosity, can anyone identify the note streams on the second CD? I think I see some Kitasaitama but that's about it. (Pic below, not mine)
