Namco Taiko Blog (November 12th, 2020) - Have Faith in the Final Dojo Ranking Main Trials

 

Right into the news with no finesse: Nijiiro Version's main Dojo Ranking setting is about to be completed! In the next arcade update, the four final courses will be released with the following songs as well as eight mystery candidates to test your skills with.

Etou of the Taiko Team is here today to state how this time around the difficulty progression is given by the increased degree of 'continously-hitting' that each song packs in; not only that -unlike in the past- each of the Dojo Ranking newcoming tracks will see its public debut at the same day of these trials' release!

Nearly at the same time this official blog post went live, some of the Faith Creation song contest winners have started to have their preview clips published on YouTube, so chances are some of these Dojo Ranking vacant seats might be filled by some of those. As of today, previews of Rasen Shuukai Kidou, Vixtory, Hakanaki wa Gensho ni Mau and Stick Trick ShowTime!! have been loaded online, marking a release date of November 25.

First Video: ∫-integral- and an Ace up the Sleeve

 

The new song jazz for today isn't over just yet, as Japan's Midnight rand and the latest DLC load for the Nintendo Switch game is out in the wild.

 

Turns out the newcoming Namco Original pack's aim was to release all 9* Oni contenders, as not only the newcomer came geared with one, but also the veteran BE THE ACE of PS2-era fame is coming back with a brand new 9* Ura Oni to boot. All pre-existing star ratings for the song's modes came out unscathed from the 2nd-generation ratings as well!

It also happens that the fun for the Switch title for the month is not over just yet: a currently-ingame-exclusive notice is here to tell that the Game Music piece Nihiki wa Nekotomo! (にひきはネコトモ！) is going to be released as a free piece of DLC for everyone to enjoy, come November 19th.

Straight from the hands of Namco Original Hayabusa's composer comes the easiest song of the Den'onobu extracurricular song trilogy... as well as the hardest one! This is due to it having both a regular and Ura Oni difficulty setting to tackle this Anzu no Uta-ish idol song, one with a mono-color cluster-charted blend and one with handswitch aplenty that features longer commonplace clusters the further you go into the play.

The extracurricular EDM Taiko jig just hit another stop, courtesy of ex-NAMCO SOUNDS musician Taku Inoue. Sporting a similarly-rated difficulty set in comparison to Favorite Days from last week, more offset single notes and triplets will test your ability to properly catch the rhythm of this song.
