The people behind Taiko no Tatsujin console releases have their own ways of coming 'full circle', with one of these being the choice of returning songs from returning artists. Nintendo Switch Version/Drum 'n' Fun! has launched with recurring Production GIW vocalist Kaori Aihara (愛原圭織) performing for a brand new song, and the very same stunt is going to happen once more... alongside her current-latest Namco Original contribution, no less!

Coming from the tail-end of Session de Dodon ga Don's DLC carnet, 1/2 ~inside me features the vocalist performing in quite the unusual timber from Taiko songs of her own past, while backed with a returning cast of collaborators from the same studio. From lyricist Shinno Aya (真野綾; one of the lead vocals in God Collection track Yomi no Izanami) to pianist Giu (祇羽) with guitar and bass backing respectively by Setsune Kei (瀬恒啓; Twitter) and Takuya Cage (梯拓哉, Twitter), this is like a ProductionGIW-hosted mature party with some welcomed guest to kick things off!

The string-based musicians, however, are not the only ones to be called by the videogame/sound production company, as the composer of the whole song is another external party altogether: Mikzi Shihohara (篠原瑞希; Twitter, personal web portal), a female artist who "loves to make music and eat delicious ramen", as her YouTube channel also novers. Active in the doujin scene with original tracks made under the self-owned Studio Sunny Day label, the artist's ongoing share of word as a composer-for-hire is being a BGM maker for many of the ongoing Vtubers that are taking the Let's Play digital scenario by storm, most prominently with song covers and original music for Hoshimachi Suisei.

A progressively-rare sight for the ongoing modern Oni charting landscape, here's a trial that plays its chart in a straightforward way in full 1/16-tempo-following fashion, really playing on players' aptitude under a Kat-leading mood. Even the final speed burst to the final 4 notes doesn't rely on time-reaction jumpscares with the scrolling bar!
