Still hot from the YouTube livestreaming action, here's the song to sign 20 years of Taiko no Tatsujin with, ripe with artists from many places in Taiko no Tatsujin contribution history! When you think about it, after all the many console game themes and the few "honorary" arcade theme songs a-la Kimi no Akari and 3Q-4U-AC00, it's kinda funny how it took this long for the Taiko no Tatsujin franchise to come up with a dedicated series-anniversary track, isn't it?

Translatable in English as 'Roar! Taiko no Tatsujin', this is the first of 12 songs to be released for the 20th series anniversary's 'Taiko de Time Travel' (太鼓deタイムトラベル) project, entirely made of original creations made to interpret different time periods under a Taiko-flavored focus. Being the series' 20th anniversary track, the Taiko de Time Travel starter is rooted in the present of the 20ies' time, with Tenkaichi Otogesai-debutant NAMCO SOUNDS composer steμ joining composing hands with longtime charters/composers/livestream hosts Yuji Masubuchi (増渕裕二氏) and Takeshito Sasaoka (笹岡武仁).

New and old names to the Taiko scene are also to be found in the singing department, paging Takayoshi Tanimoto (of Hibike! Taiko no Tatsujin/Fly away/Fly again!, among many) for the latter category. Alongside the male vocalist for this song, we also have a Taiko-original-debuting name along the way: Chiaki Takahashi (たかはし智秋), from Japan's Kanagawa prefecture. Born May 8th, 1977, she's an artist in activity since the late 90ies, starting out in the gravure idol industry and later on branching out as a vocalist for solo and group acts like Aice⁵ and as a voice actress. In Bandai Namco grounds, the nicknamed Chiaking (チアキング) is more notoriously known as the VA of the blue-haired Azusa Miura (三浦あずさ), one of the original idols in the Idolm@ster franchise.

Releasing tomorrow on public Nijiiro arcades, the peppy celebration theme will also be available to play shortly after on Taiko + (next Monday, in fact!) and on Nintendo Switch/Drum 'n' Fun! (next month). Nonetheless, it was already featured twice in a day, the first of which being Manzai act Magical Lovely (マヂカルラブリー)'s Crystal Noda (野田クリスタル) and Murakami (村上) playing the song's Futsuu and Muzukashii charts, followed a bit later by the above-embeded Oni play from the current Taiko arcade tournament title holder Yosuga (よすが). The latest Nam-Combo challenge stars plenty of cluster combos in length, girth and tempo charting but that wasn't enough to stray this 1st-song-player from a Donder-Full Combo- you don't become world champion twice in a row without such a powerful introduction, after all!
