Originated from Momoiro Version, the Rewards Shop allows Banapassport players to unlock new elements for the arcade play (namely, customization avatar elements and songs) that are not unlockable through the unlocking of selective avatar titles. Previously a service which was exclusive to the Donder Hiroba platform, the Rewards Shop functionalities have been reworked from Yellow Version, disbanding the former system based on the Don Point/Shopping Point currency and dividing its catalog into two main different outlets, each using their own currency.
Together with the main Rewards Shop alternatives, the service is also supporting other theme-based outlets that are available for a limited time (like for the case of collaboration events and such), which also refer to one of the two currencies used in the main RS sections.
Don Medal Rewards Shop (どんメダル ごほうびショップ)
This is the novelty-oriented feature of the unlock system overhaul, starring the eponymous Don Medal (どんメダル) currency that can be earned by playing with the Taiko arcade line; on top of the fixed amount of points awarded after each play (100 Don Medals), its possible to earn bonus points upon fulfilling certain conditions or over the course of special events. The Don Medal-based shops can be accessed both through the Donder Hiroba platform and on any up-to-date Taiko arcade machine, right before a regular credit play.
The shops based on the Don Medal currency feature a lineup of items that are only available across a limited time span, resulting in the removal of the currently-active shop after its expiration date in exchange for a new shopping outlet. After every season, all the Don Medals gained will also be deleted, so that players have to start the point collection all over in order to gain access to the new shops' items.
Under any Rewards Shop period, the player's maximum amount of Don Points won't go any higher than the overall amount of Don Points required to purchase all the offered items.

Katsu Medal Rewards Shop (かつメダル ごほうびショップ)
The following shops offer a selection of rewards that can be unlocked by using varying amounts of Katsu Medal (かつメダル), earned after any kind of arcade play (except Dojo Ranking/Tokkun mode credit plays) with no special performance increments of sorts. Unlike with Don Medals, however, Katsu Medals don't ever expire, as they're aimed for the acquisition of rewards that tend to be available at any time of the year in general. Katsu Medal shops can only be browsed within the Donder Hiroba.
The default shops that are based on this kind of currency have no expiration date, with updates occurring at a more rare rate (eg. arcade firmware update). The reward selection offered by those outlets mainly consists of all the not-limited items from the previous Taiko firmware builds' discontinued version of the Rewards Shop, with some extra elements that are added over time.
Each arcade play nets 100 Katsu Medals. The upper limit of Katsu Medals which is possible for a player to bear at any time is 10000; furthermore, the previously-earned points have to be spent in order not to lose future Katsu Medal gains.
