[PS4-1] Emergency "Pittari Song 4 You" Poll Up Now

Remember when PSVita had the "Vita" Song Campaign (ビタッとソングキャンペイン) being a full-on DLC poll of sorts? Something similar is happening for PS4 Taiko no Tatsujin Session de Dodon ga Don. Announced and opening today (August 30) is the "Pittari Song 4 You" Campaign (ピッタリソングフォーユー キャンペイン). (ahhh the initials spell PS4, heheh I see what you did ther)

The campaign now starts with a poll (Bandai Namco ID required, get one here if you don't have) which asks for at most 3 songs you would like to be DLC for PS4-1. Once again, remember to use the formal names (i.e. no short form or nicknames) or risk not being able to be counted.

There, I filled one for myself too, even though I am not gonna buy a PS4.

[PS4-1] The Moonlight Calls for Taiko Masters: Taiko Ranked Match Event Moonlight Master Festival

Addendum (2018/08/29): Quick Title Fix according to BNEI SEA announcement tweet to Houkan no Kugetsu, where 紅 takes a different on'yomi reading than our old romanized name.

We are back with another Ranked Match event for PS4-1, to all the jealousy from the West because won't legitimately get the game until November.

The Moonlight Master Festival (月下の達人祭) will start at August 30 12:00 and ends at September 10 12:00, with two outfit sets and one recent exclusive up for grabs. There are also continuous Don Koban bonuses along the way to help fund your FP Boosts (3 Kobans for double FP), should you have run dry of your end-game reserves in the last two events.

Taiko Ranked Match Event: Moonlight Master Festival Rewards
1 FP - Title: 月下の達人祭はじめました Moonlight Master Festival Is Here
15 FP - Greeting: お月見大好き I ♡ Moonwatching

Namco Taiko Blog (August 29 2018): Another YouTube-licious Summer Collaboration

Wow what a fun event full of Taiko no Tatsujin! I wish it were not limited to Japan only... huh, that's the UUUM x Taiko no Tatsujin Creator Summer Festival (UUUM×太鼓の達人 クリエイター夏祭り) on August 25? What is this, a redux of last year's collaboration with the Japanese MCN but on Blue ver.?

Apparently it is, because after appearing in the special cabinets in the event, two new J-POP songs by UUUM creators will be appearing on public Blue ver. cabinets starting tomorrow, August 30.

Song of the Week! 25 August 2018

The addition of rock-styled songs with a max-difficulty notechart seems like a rising trend since last year's Taiko no Tatsujin collaborative efforts involving the INSPION sound company's composers...

Why don't we have a look at the final addition from last year's streak?

First Video: D-zettai! SAMURAI in the Rain

Blue ver. Song Addition: August 25 2018

The second addition for the returning "Max-Difficulty Rock-August" month in Taiko gaming spotlights the duo from last week's Variety addition, doubling down with another max-difficulty chart for the same song genre.

While the regular Oni mode is played as a pure 1/16 note score with more monocolor-leaning clusters, the Ura Oni matches the same max-difficulty status and max combo value of last week's Super D&D song, where enhanced scrolling speed for selected giant Kat notes and 1/24 Don cluster spikes round up the high difficulty degree supplied by a more complex cluster formation trend in general. For both charts, however, the song's high BPM is surely set to take the toll on some random errors along the way for most players!

Namco Taiko Blog (24 August 2018) - A Midsummer's Taiko Team Graduation

The No.11 intern is here for a Taiko blog Friday update, whose tones are quite different from the usual fanfare. We come to know, in fact, that long-time Taiko Team member Takemoto (タケモト) is graduating from his position in the series' dedicated development team, leaving us fans with one final message for all of us to see.

Takemoto has joined the Taiko Team in 2006 as a programmer, during the development of the 9th Taiko no Tatsujin arcade title. Since then, he has had a lot of programming credits in both the console and arcade front, as well as quite the resumee for the series' public relationship with its everlasting fanbase, being one of the main curators of the official Twitter feed as well as one of the main tech guys/hosts in the past Taiko no Tatsujin official livestreams.

As mentioned by Takemoto himself in his final message, he has also attended several public events with Etou as a representative of the Taiko Team as a whole; among these are the Taiko-related tournaments (the AC13-era one, the Huis Ten Bosch cup, the World Championship of 2016 and the Tenkaichi Otogesai edition), the World Hobby Fair/JAEPO/Reitasai outings and several AC0 Asia firmware launch events! It's from these events that he was more than glad to see the series being received with such a positive energy from whoever attended each outing, a side of his former job that is credited to motivate Takemoto's work along the years.

Even if he's quitting his work on Taiko games, Takemoto has still some unfinished business with his Taiko experience as a player, one of these involving him passing the Splatoon 2 Medley's Ura Oni, the very last mode charted by Takemoto himself in his (admittedly small) notecharter portfolio.

I (Lokamp) can just speak for myself in sending the man some thanking words for the work he has done across the years for helping to shape the Taiko no Tatsujin series as a whole in what it is nowadays, but chances are there are still many behind-the-scenes contributions that Takemoto might have done for the immediately-future things that the latest games are preparing for the future.

Until then, though, ... Audiòs!

[NS1] Rumor Confirmed for Vocaloid Pack Vol. 1 DLC

If you have been catching our reports you know that this pack is already long teased by deep diggers. If you haven't, we just linked it.

Anyway, this new DLC is... surprisingly unnamed because the image on the main site only shows the "NEW" label and no actual title. We will be identifying it with its hovertext "Vocaloid Pack Vol. 1" (ボーカロイド(TM)曲パックVol.1) then?

The five-song pack also comes with a downloadable Performance Character, where Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) and her familiar face (like straight up from her custom dancer set) graces your screen with the Spirit Gauge Easier to Raise Lv. 2 (魂ゲージがふえやすい Lv.2) skill effect.
