Namco Taiko Blog (20 September 2012)- Taiko 0.5 Game Version 2.09

Upgraded firmware for Taiko 0.5! With new songs and a bunch of new features for even more player convenience.

The first announcement is the new songs! Six this time, all of them licensed songs and half of which are going to be in Taiko Wii 5 too. Song titles in bold are completely new.

J-Pop
Manatsu no Sounds good! (真夏のSounds good!)
Kaze ga Fuiteiru (風が吹いている) ('ga', not 'wa')
Shine
Yes (イエス)

Anime
Zutto Zutto Tomodachi (ずっとずっとトモダチ) (Jewelpet Kira Deko! OP)
Haru Uta (ハルウタ) (Detective Conan movie theme)

No Namco Originals? Hopefully we get new Uras or something, but even so, the number of originals in Taiko 0.5 is enough to last a decade anyway!

The new gameplay features are more for convenience, and limited to Banapassport holders. This one is a much requested feature on Twitter, and the team delivers; finally you are able to see your personal best score on the song selection screen!

Yep, that down there on the bottom-left corner is your score! Wait, but what if you have records on different difficulties you want to track? Simple; go to Donder Hiroba and change the difficulty there, no matter which one you want to track!

A QR code, which you can use to access Donder Hiroba on the spot.

The other feature is a brand new song folder, also limited to Banapassport holders. This song folder keeps track of the most recent songs you have played (up to 5) and puts them there for easier access.

The update will go live on September 27th 2012, exactly the same day the DLC pack for Taiko PSP DX is released. Stay tuned for it!
