Taiko no Tatsujin RHYTHM CONNECT and the Official Pre-registration Tour

After the tearful final update to Taiko no Tatsujin Plus Gakkyoku Tori Houdai subscription, it is time to look to the slated successor Taiko no Tatsujin RHYTHM CONNECT (RC hereafter).

After two months of early-access release only in Taiwan, today (2023/10/11) marks the start of more extensive promotion in the other regions scheduled for release. You can "pre-register" by adding the various LINE official accounts as friends, and be notified as soon as the official launch happens. As a bonus, a special icon and header image for social media use will also be available to you at launch.

Japan: https://lin.ee/jwBSKYh/gmel (Japanese)
Hong Kong and Macao: https://lin.ee/43OYprg (trad. Chinese)
Indonesia: https://lin.ee/2M08DVQ (Bahasa Indonesian)
Thailand: https://lin.ee/IVAHWZy (Thai)

N.B. Unlike some other mobile games, "pre-registering" here will not grant you additional in-game items. If you want a head start in RC, you might as well try to obtain the Taiwan early access and start early.

Meanwhile, the full version of the eponymous theme song RHYTHM CONNECT has surfaced on YouTube (with a dance-filled music video, embedded above) and other streaming platforms. Choreographed by powerpuffboys (パワーパフボーイズ) and performed by Yuki Miyoshi (三好佑季), Ren Tojo (東条澪) and Halca Kubota (久保田遥), the music video has already been added to RC in a late-September version update (1.3.0).

A commemorative campaign exclusive to Japan is also open until 2023/10/17 on X (previously Twitter). By following @taikosp and reposting the below post, you stand a chance to win one of 105 prizes including the huge Don-chan plush (5 winners) and RC sticker (100 winners).

In case you haven't been catching up on RC news, the Taiwan early access now has 655 tracks available after two additions. While that number includes only originals, Classical and Bandai Namco-associated game music for now, the official launch will come with 158 more licensed tracks, as well as three more Hololive tracks through Passport-exclusive preview. See the full list in the official site (under "COMING SOON" section).
