Back in early August 2021, Bandai Namco Entertainment (BNEI) filed the
trademark application for "Donderful Festival" (ドンダフル
フェスティバル) with the Japan Patent Office, under trademark classes
that consist of aspects in both arcade and console gaming.
As you are probably aware, "Donderful" (ドンダフル, a portmanteau of "don" and
"wonderful") has almost exclusive use with Taiko no Tatsujin, from the old
difficulty predating Oni, one half of the 2011 soundtrack release to the name
for the rainbow crown achievement. This could mean BNEI may have preliminary
plans for the rhythm game series on the horizon, but we have no information at this stage.
If you want to see information on the trademark application yourself, you can
search for it on the official Japan Platform for Patent Information
(JPlat-Pat,
https://www.j-platpat.inpit.go.jp/) using the application number: 2021-096769.
