You've seen thie header picture before and you've checked the calendar: the time is now. 2020 is set to become a thing of the past, while another year is already donning its pants up; as per tradition, in today's feature we're taking a glance of what the ending year had in storm for the Taiko no Tatsujin series, divided in trimesters and topped with the general impressions of our I hope I'm not making a typo on my own nickname again Lokamp.

2020's Christmas truly has been gate-kept by surprise Ura Oni additions, with one appearing on the day immediately before the fated day... as well as the day after it! The latter especially is nothing to slouch on either.

Just as the festive lights are dimmed out, Daisuke Kurosawa's latest Namco Original for the series comes back with a vengeance with a truly fearsome Ura Oni. Surely there's no need to sell you on how hard a chart is when most of it is played at an over-280 BPM value, is there?

[Plus/STH] Never Leave Without Playing Through the Deemo Collab Challenge Gauntlet

The collaboration event with Deemo on Taiko no Tatsujin Plus/Shinkyoku Tori Houdai is once again the challenge gauntlet type introduced back in May-June 2020.

Starting today (December 17 2020) and ending on January 7 2021, play across the various nodes of the map to get points, with which you can exchange for rewards including 7-day unlocks of selected event tracks (up to once per track), Taiko skins and themes. See our previous post (linked above) on the key points to note with this type of events.
