Brand new songpacks for Taiko iPhone!

Some of our readers might remember the announcement of new song packs, at the past Tokyo Game Show. Now the voice is a confirmed reality, with the release of 2 new songpacks!

After iPhone users's long waiting for some Namco Originals, Namco finally wanted to publish ten songs for those portable devices, divided into two Namco Original Packs already available for download. Here are the songs involved:

Namco Original Pack 1 (ナムオリ ぱっく 1)

Namco Original Pack 2 (ナムオリ ぱっく 2)

Each pack cost 600 Yen, as usual. But what is strange is the fact that ALL the song ratings aren't the updated ones seen on the ongoing arcade! For example, Taiko Time's regular Oni is still 10-starred here, despite the new arcade's massive star decreases.

  1. Finally... More namco originals for iPod users lol

  2. As a side note, Wii4 will be using the old rating system as well. Namco confirmed this through Twitter.

  3. ...obviously, it's more convenient for Namco to show more hi-starred maps on console, huh? So much hypocrisy...

  4. (*pikaby: why didn't you covered this fact with a 'Twitter Snippets' post, then? lol)
