Feature: 2024 - The Year in Hindsight

Once again, the whole world is about to close the book on a year's tellings and onto the next one. The proverbial baton-pass from 2024 to 2025, however, is not one to be made without our usual proper preparations for it! For the last time in 2024, here are the notable peak points of the latest Year of the Dragon for all Taiko no Tatsujin-pertinient endeavors, with some choice Lokamp-shaped impressions as the tellings for each trimester go by!

For this being a "year of the dragon", there sure are many-a-ways to describe a yearly Taiko journey to the likes of your average RPG plot development...

For the final weekly writeup in 2024, here's a little something about a curious side-trend that surrounds long-running Taiko-original songs from a distance: song series sequel-baiting.

Often times it's quite easy to figure out what's in and what's out, but for some the demarcation line might be a little bit murkier...

Post-Xmas Blues - Arcade and Taiko Music Pass Farewell Songs

The holidays will come and go... but so are going to be a fistful of songs, very early into the new year. Going in order of reveal, here are the latest trio of licenses to leave Nijiiro Version, as revealed in the Taiko Team blog entry predating the public release of CRUXNAUT, cosMo@BouSouP's latest Namco Original.

• Scores and crowns achieved will be removed from view
• Farewell Tracks will disappear from playlist(s) if previously set
• If a Farewell Track is set as My Battle Track in online modes, the slot will be reverted to the default (Natsu Matsuri)
• Titles obtained from playing Farewell Tracks (e.g. "(track) Lover" from playing the track 30 times) will still be usable even after removal.

Taiko Time's Drumvent Calendar the 3rd!

The final month of the year is here once more. Just like in recent years, it doesn't matter what one wants to celebrate along its lines -Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, the ever-elusive December birthdays and anything inbetween- as we're tiding the wait around here with a returning side-actuvity of ours: the Drumvent Calendar!

Once per day, this page will be updated with one 'dream pick' among songs suggested by the kind residents in our Discord server, songs that are deemed to be Taiko-worthy by each of their respective requesters that will have some of its secrets unfolded, in the style of our Song of the Week/Song Series Showcase articles.
