Taiko no Tatsujin Dokodon RPG Pack! song list

Announced worldwide in a Nintendo Direct Mini broadcast in late August 2020, this is the Taiko no Tatsujin franchise's first collection of previous Taiko games in one title, grouping together the last two games released for the Nintendo 3DS: Don to Katsu no Jikuu Daibouken and Dokodon! Mystery Adventure. The game was also set for a localized worldwide release as a digital-only game under the title of Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythmic Adventure Pack, with the two Taiko 3DS titles getting the really imaginative localized named of Rhythmic Adventure 1 and Rhythmic Adventure 2 respectively. It's also possible to purchase any of the two games separately through the eShop.

This game collection is essentially a port of the two 3DS games, with a few modes and features getting select modifications from the original games. More specifically, every Streetpass/Spotpass and multiplayer feature got removed from both games, alongside a song quartet from Don to Katsu no Jikuu Daibouken (Senbonzakura, Funa Funa Funassyi, Karl no Uta: Autumn Pondside Version and Katte Rock), while a trio of new licensed songs from the more recent Taiko titles got added to both games in return. In addition to these, even the Funassyi customization elements and the respective titles' DLC catalog (mainly songs and the 3DS2 extra chapters) were erased for this release.

Song of the Week! 29 August 2020

Last week, we've had the "problem" of finding a different song topic to tie in the latest Weekend Warrior artist with something that is not a former Taiko song or a related composing colleague of sorts... which definitely is not the case for this week's creator- there are several t+pazolite tracks we can still talk about!
 
Today's tune, in particular, also bears one interesting tidbit we failed to discover, earlier this month.

It's been quite a while since the Taiko no Tatsujin series was advertised throughout the Nintendo Direct video lineup, and once again it was for a region-exclusive news broadcast at that. That changes today, with both the Japanese and overseas branch joining their hands together in unveiling a brand new Taiko no Tatsujin game release for the Nintendo Switch!

 

Perhaps, the 'brand new' label is best suited for the not-Asian audience, as you're about to read...

Site Announcement: Yes, We Mod The Comments (now partially automated)

For those who have been with us for some time, you are probably aware that the comment sections to our posts are not necessarily filled with insightful Taiko no Tatsujin discussions. Like we said last time, some of those are spam messages that try to get you to click links to whatever [kat] they are selling.

...okay, scratch that, a majority of them are spam messages. Thankfully the spammers probably are not going to read actual post contents so we can throw [ddkat kat ddkat kat ddkat] at them without worry.

With the proportion of spam escalating, we have decided to turn on comment moderation function on Blogger, especially on posts older than 3 days. If you don't see your comment immediately reflected, it would be because it is held awaiting moderation. We will check the holding pen from time to time to release legitimate comments to public view.

We'll see how it turns out for us, but we might further escalate to nuclear options if it doesn't work, which may or may not include completely axing the comment section here while crossposting on platforms that have better moderation tools (like Twitter or Reddit) for those who want to discuss.
