The race is on with the latest DLC on Taiko no Tatsujin Nintendo Switch Version! Although more notable as a Vocaloid producer, Nakamaoto provided an high-speed purely instrumental pick to the Donders.

The regular Oni runs mainly on the speed with only up to 5-hit clusters, but the latter mixes of large and small notes may prove confusing like the respective parts in Hyakki Yakou (now Master) and Dangan Notes.

Behind the more hefty cluster/stream volume in the Ura Oni, here's a primer on the deeper meaning of the title. "Chicken race" is an alternative Japanese name for the game of chicken. A popular model speaks of two high-speed drivers heading for a bridge with limited capacity. If both drivers refuse to yield they would crash on the bridge; however, any driver yielding will be ashamed of being a cowardly "chicken" while the other speed across the bridge like a champion. The dilemma has invited attention within the game theory field.

With that said, you might want to pay extra attention to the large notes in the notechart, especially around drumrolls, or you might end up rolling in the coop with shame.
