Namco Taiko Blog (June 20 2019): Future Drumming, VR Drumming, La-la-la

Recommended music for this post's title: Future Lab

The June 27 update to Green ver. (featuring rival AI technology from the year 2765) is not the only futuristic development we have. Now behold Taiko no Tatsujin VR da-don!

Coming soon as a VR Acitivity for the Bandai Namco-operated VR ZONE OSAKA in Umeda, Osaka (added July 20 2019) and the all-new MAZARIA in Ikebukuro, Tokyo (opens July 12 2019), you will be able to play Taiko no Tatsujin in a virtual reality setting as the name suggests.

Although graduated from her Taiko Sister role, the beloved Daifuku returns to Taiko no Tatsujin scene being the person-in-charge for the project, making her the perfect person to write today's Namco Taiko Blog post. Details will come after this jump.

VR da-don requires the use of this specially-designed Bachi-con (バチコン) shown above to play, as well as a VR headset for the immersion factor. As to how it is played, Daifuku's two adorable sketch should be more than enough to explain: hold the two controller and swing away!

You can and probably will get tired after this lel

Once you put on the gear, you can immerse yourself in the gorgeous, 360-degree festival grounds with familiar Taiko no Tatsujin characters, and hit away at the don and kat notes flying your way from afar.

The hardcore Donders, meanwhile, probably care more about the track list, so here is it in all its glory:

Title
Natsu Matsuri
★3★2★6X
Senbonzakura KurousaP feat. Hatsune Miku
★3★5★6XX
Iro wa Nioedo Chirinuru o Touhou Project Arrange/Yuuhei Satellite
★2★4★5X
Orpheus in the Underworld Overture Jacques Offenbach
★4★4★5X
Angel Dream
★3★6★7XX

All of you Donders looking at the red crosses on the Oni and Ura Oni columns, let's just say "humanity has its limits too" (official wording). Plus, as Nintendo Switch Version could have told you, Oni difficulty doesn't really lend itself to the swinging performance play-style, so it will be regretted for the attraction.
