Namco Taiko Blog (14 February 2019) - The Road to Green Version

Green Version's (up-until-now) mystery release day is drawing closer, asking the aid of a new official blog entry to tell people what will and will not be carried out in the next arcade firmware release.

Starting from the merrier stuff, Taiko no Tatsujin Green Version's release date has been scheduled on March 14th this year, exactly one month from today! More public details about the JAEPO-preview features will be expanded upon at a later date.

Enjoy the new arcade firmware's cutout design! (until the picture gets deleted from the official blog again)

Among the newcoming content to be featured since Day 1 is a new seasonal Rewards Shop update! Its contents, however, will be made public another time.

Now that the good stuff has been sorted out, it's time for a new cold shower. This time around, we have 16 licensed picks that will not make the cut to the firmware transition, being deleted on Green Version's launch day in all the previous-firmware arcade cabinets as well:

As usual, each round of arcade song deletion is paired with some recurring disclaimers:
  • The collab titles and outfits from the deleted songs: (this time around: the Instinct Awakening! title and the Zyuoh Eagle outfit obtainable from Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger) cannot be newly obtained, but those already got them can still use them;
  • Usage of these songs in Donder Hiroba tournaments and challenges are terminating earlier, starting February 22nd, 00:00;
  • Scores and rankings on Donder Hiroba will be closed off starting March 14th, 07:00;
  • If you have set any of these songs as a favourite, the slot will be change back to unspecified as of March 14th, 07:00;
  • Crown totals will be adjusted with the deletion of the achieved clears on the deleted songs on April 7th, 07:00.
As usual, we also get the firmware-change disclaimers about carried-over data in general:
  • All takeover data from the Banapassport accounts are referring to all the data recorded up until Blue Version's last official operating day (Mar 13th);
  • All the data concerning the Taiko Avatar (appearance), played songs (crowns, performance details for each not-removed songs) and unlocked rewards will be carried over, as well as most of the Donder Plaza's user profiles and related settings and the amount of Katsu Medals earned (Don Medals will be emptied with the new seasonal Rewards Shop's coming);
  • Everything about the removed songs from previous deletion rounds (and the related crowns), Donder Plaza's Challenge/My News History log (Kigurumi outfit, ranking history, removed songs as favorite tracks) and Yellow Version's Dojo Ranking mode won't be carried over on Green Version's launch day. See above for details about today's song removal notice.
On top of those notices, we got an extra discontinuation notice for the soon-ending Blue Version: the Performance Battle (演奏バトル) mode will be terminated on the firmware-change day. If you want to earn the unlockable songs and the Amitie-themed Kigurumi outfit part, you have one month left to rush through the mode!

It's also worth noting that General Asia Blue Version arcades are still scheduled to receive the mode's final update to the final world, slated to release by the end of this month.
