The 5th Tenkaichi Otogesai - Adopted Songs Reveal!

The wait is finally over: we now know what are the songs involved in the latest iteration of the Tenkaichi Otogesai tournament. Reach us after the jump for the whole deal!

The 5th Tenkaichi Otogesai tournament will play out in a different way from the former editions, as the transplant/newcomer songs are all coming to the JAIA-conventioned arcades since the tourney's Preliminary phase, instead of splitting the delivery in two different batches. Much like last year's edition of the event, each major participating series is getting 4 new songs in total: 3 transplants and a proprietary original song. Wouldn't you know it, this edition's song transplants are the original tracks coming from the 4th Tenkaichi event itself!

For the cross-over side of the coin, Taiko no Tatsujin arcades are going to get GERBERA from SOUND VOLTEX, Xevel from CHUNITHM and ouroboros -twin stroke of the end- from Groove Coaster, with the Namco Original Taiko Drum Monster being the representative series song to be shared with the other games. All four arcades in the JAIA arcade rooms are expected to get these songs (with their respective proprietary addition) on October 25th.

Taiko no Tatsujin's new proprietary original song for the event is titled Seiten no Reimei (青天の黎明), and will gather back the composer/singer duo from Taiko Drum Monster to fill in the part! The track will be joining the other 3 transplant songs, in the same day.

Here's also a quick look to the other proprietary additions from the other series to boot: SOUND VOLTEX's song, Gyaru Tsuki (逆月), will have in-house Bemani artist HuΣeR collaborating with the Fernweh unit; renowned BMS artist Morimori Atsushi (ガリガリさむし) will make for CHUNITHM the song larva, marking its debut on the Japanese arcade scene. Finally, the Taito sound unit ZUNTATA's MASAKI is bound to have another heated 'duel' collaboration for the Groove Coaster series with BUCHiGiRE Berserker, this time around clashing with REDALiCE.

As a final note, the other participating music game series of this edition, Sega's maimai, new songs between proprietary tunes and mutual shares will be decided to be ported on a later date, with the preliminary phase being focused on the series' pre-existing song pool.
