Taiko Wii U's April DLC

With all the craze over the arcade collaborations and a new 3DS Taiko game in the works, let's not forget the home console! On Taiko Wii U's website, the April DLC content has finally been announced, with five new free DLC songs.

April's DLC content will be available from April 23rd, featuring the following songs:
  • Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu -Gekijouban- (初音ミクの消失-劇場版-)
  • Kumamoto Surprise! (くまもとサプライズ!)
  • Pokemon XY Trainer Battle Medley (ポケットモンスター X・Y トレーナー戦メドレー)
  • Kirame Kirari (キラメキラリ)
  • D's Adventure Note
Aside the old songs is the Pokemon XY Trainer Medley, making its way to Wii U at almost the same time the Wild Pokemon Medley heads to Momoiro, and a Namco Original from last year's CreoFUGA contest is now in a console game for the first time!

The song in black is an entirely new addition to the Wii U game's (pretty sparse) Variety genre. It's a song about the Japanese prefecture of Kumamoto and as such, its mascot Kumamon is included as well as special dancers for the song. A custom Kumamon outfit and frame will also be available to download for free!

Speaking of the outfit parts, there is a change to the pricing formula from this month onward. Since a new tax is now active in Japan, the costume prices now have an additional tax, with its basic price set at 46 yen each, depending from which prefecture you are buying the DLC costume parts. For Japan, the tax is 6 Yen, making the new price for all the outfits of 52 Yen.

We'll update the Taiko Wii U-related pages soon with this month's DLC!
