Namco Taiko Blog (8 October 2013): Taiko no Tatsujin Sorairo Game Version 8.XX

Surprise update on the blog, and on a Tuesday at that!

For the past two months we've seen the CreoFUGA contest winner songs gradually being introduced and used in the Taiko tournament. We've seen them get harder and harder still. The final set of songs is set to coincide with the tournament finals. It's time.

Sorairo's next firmware update will bring arcade-goers the final three user-created songs. And surprisingly enough, one of them is a Vocaloid song!

Karamari no Hana (カラ鞠の花) - Harunaba feat. Yuzuki Yukari
Calculator - M-O-T-U
Hurtling Boys - Sadakichi Ihcikadas

Just a quick intro: Yuzuki Yukari (結月ゆかり) is a new voice made with the Vocaloid 3 engine, made by AH-Software. Another one to add to the lineup next to Crypton and Internet Co's stuff then.

Now the more important bit: As you see in the screenshot above and the two of them below, all three songs are 10* Oni terrors. We've seen Hurtling Boys before in the UStream. Wonder how tough the other two are...? Tourney finalists are definitely in for a crazy ride!

The second part of the update brings three titles for FCing the three songs, like the other eight winners. 'Karamari no ??? (カラ鞠の???)' for Karamari no Hana, '??? Donder (??ドンだー)' for Calculator and '??? Boys (????ボーイズ)' for Hurtling Boys.

Expect Game Version 8.XX to hit Sorairo arcades on October 16th, 2013!

...wait, 8.XX? What are the other two numbers? Apparently it's undecided as of now and will be known on release day. Any bets that it will be 8.76?
