Namco Taiko Blog (2 November 2012)- McDonalds collab detailed

We saw in the official blog post last week that from today onwards, Taiko no Tatsujin and McDonalds will be collaborating again by giving out toys through Happy Meals. But that's not the half of it; there's loads more things in this collaboration this time!

The toys and stickers we saw last week. Here's a better close up of the stickers, the mail-style one on the left and the Emoji on the right.

Next, Taiko 3DS gets more from McDonalds! There will be a note inside the bags of the Happy Meal toys with a password for the game, use it to unlock another treasure and one more Taiko sound! Too bad about not having any new songs though.

The next recipient of the collab is Taiko 0.5! Again this is related to the Happy Meal toys; buy any one of them and take a photo with the toy using the arcade's camera and Banapassport players will get a secret costume! I wonder what it is.

You can only get this costume within the promotional period for the Happy Meal toys, which means you won't be able to get this costume after November 22, so grab the burger costume as soon as possible! Oh, did I just figure it out?

We're not done yet, both ongoing smartphone games, Taiko no Tatsujin Plus for iOS and Shinkyoku Tori Houdai for Android will also be getting the McDonalds collaboration song, Papa Mama Mc, for free! Like Puzzle and Dragons before it, this song will delete itself after the distribution of the toys is over, again on November 22.

Last but not least, for anyone who brings their DS and/or 3DS with wireless download play enabled into McDonalds, you get to play a special Taiko-related minigame for the distribution period of the Taiko no Tatsujin toys! A touch battle together with Raruko, apparently. Win the game and you get a special drink coupon worth 80 yen.

The service is called "Mc de DS", a special one in Japan for people to play small games on their DS in McDonalds. Man they get all the nice things.
