Namco Taiko Blog (19 July 2012) - Taiko PSP's REAL July DLCs

Do you remember the leaked set of five songs from 2ch we covered one week ago? Well, remove it from your mind: it was a hoax! Today's 2nd Taiko Team blog entry showed the real 6-song pack which will be published next week, on July 26th. Wanna know what's inside?

【Anime】
By My Side (バイマイサイド) - from Naruto Shippuden

【Variety】
Go Go Yuureisen (ゴーゴー幽霊船)
RHYTHM AND POLICE

【Namco Original】
Yozakura Shanikusai (夜桜謝肉祭)
DIMENSIONS
Dokidoki Mune Kyun Omatsuri Time  (ドキドキ胸きゅん おまつりタイム)

The real pack offers three new songs out of six, also with one song each from Taiko DS3 and the new arcade (not Atarashii Hikari and Metal Hawk BGM1, to our slight disappointment...talk about getting our hopes up!). The new Variety song, Go Go Yuureisen (Go Go Ghost Ship), is sung by the person who made Matryoshka (米津 玄師, Kenshi Yonezu, more known by his Vocaloid producer name 'hachi'). This song and its album was made popular because of Kenshi's success while dabbling with Vocaloid songs.

But what is even more exciting is the release of the first two Namco Original songs from the CreoFuga contest last year! DIMENSIONS, one of the three winners in the Instrumental (Original) category, comes from the song DIMENSION- Progre Rock (DIMENSION - プログレロック) composed by DUNKEL. Masabuchi Yuuji is behind the rearrangement of this guitar piece; it's been quite a while since we've heard from him and his guitar!

The latter song, Dokidoki Mune Kyun Omatsuri Time, comes from the Instrumental + Lyrics (Original) winner song by the same name, made by MOES. The song is festival themed in perfect Taiko no Tatsujin style, and is re-arranged by Etou. Interviews from the two original composers will be published sometime in the future.

All the July songs are priced 150 Yen (except Yozakura Shanikusai, which is free), with the possibility to buy a package with the first two CreoFuga songs together for 200 Yen. Of course, Yozakura Shanikusai is coming to Taiko PSP DX with its notorious Ura mode.

As a reminder, the pack will be released on July 26th! Look forward to it!
