Namco Taiko Blog (31 May 2012)- 2nd Taiko 0 online contest

Ready for the 2nd Taiko no Tatsujin 0 score attack contest? If you live in Japan, you'd better be, because this time the song used for the contest is a lot tougher than last time!

The rules are the same for the first, play the song using your Banapassport account and get into the top 100 in high scores. Unlike last time, the nickname system is already in place, so all participants of the contest will receive a special title, with the top 100 places getting a second, more prestigious title.

My bad, I forgot to name the song first. Players will be competing for high scores in....Music Revolver Ura Oni. Yep, the Music GunGun! 2 song with the craziest deathstreams this generation. There's not much in terms of drumrolls compared to Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu -Gekijouban-, so this contest is more accuracy based. Namco will also be signaling the song to players with Banapasses so they can join when they play the arcade, in case they miss their blog posting (also one of their new conveniences introduced with the April 17th firmware update).

The contest runs from today till June 8th, 7.00 am. Instructions on how to access Ura mode is given in the blog too. It's no longer a secret to everyone anyway!

Oh yeah, and the results for the Don-chan dressup contest all the way back from last month (seems that even Namco themselves forgot about it) will be announced on next week's blog. Stay tuned!
