Taiko Wii 4 - Confidential leaks from Famitsu

Lokamp here for some updates! As linked to us by anon in the chatbox, Famitsu'sd website has already started to raise the curtain on the last Taiko Wii game, now officially announced. Taiko no Tatsujin Wii - Definitive Edition (太鼓の達人Wii 決定版) (the kanji pronounced as 'kettei-ban') is the official name of the fourth and most likely final experience of Taiko on Nintendo's home console. But fear not, this swansong is not a sad end!

Some of us might remember the "Taiko Memories" survey, in where users were asked to choose their favourite songs through the entire series. As we said a few days ago, some of these will make it to the latest arcade....and to the Wii as well, where the highest-scoring songs will be on the tracklist of this compilation! And it's no mere compilation: despite the fact that there will definitely be a few repeats from previous Wii Taikos due to this, Kettei-ban features an amazing truckload of 100 songs! Yes, one hundred! This Definitive Edition also contains the features seen in previous Wii games, like lyrics, Miis and 4-way local multiplayer. And now, time for some screenshots!

That's the theme song up there, titled Momoiro Taiko Paradise ('momoiro' means 'peach-colored' or 'pink'. Hinting at the boxart color?)

The more songs are passed, the more costumes are provided! After an absence of costumes in Taiko Wii 3, they make an aggressive return, with again, 100 costumes to choose from! (hey by the way check out that score at the back lol)

Not all the songs will be repeats, aside from the theme song there's a screenshot of Everyday Gachusha (AKB48) which is also on Arcade HD's songlist as well.

These are screenshots of the special dancers, which Wii fans will be quite familiar with. But New Super Mario Bros. Wii again? Hopefully it's a new medley or something. YMCK comes back with a brand new song however, called 'Danba Danba Din Dan'.

It's also confirmed that this game's release date is set for November 23rd, about two weeks after the new arcade's debut. The next two issues of Weekly Famitsu will show more of Taiko Wii 4 as we go on, so stay tuned!
